Past Master Councilor's Meritorious Service Award (PMC-MSA)
The Past Master Councilors Meritorious Service Award (PMC-MSA) was originated by the Founder of the Order of DeMolay, Dad Frank S. Land. He recognized the tremendous advantage gained by the Master Councilor in having a pre-planned program for his term of office. While the newly elected Master Councilor is the only one qualified to apply for and achieve the award, he cannot do it alone. The requirements can only be met through the combined efforts of the entire Chapter. Dad Land wrote the qualifications for the award and designed the jewel which is now proudly worn by those who have accomplished success in their term as Master Councilor.
Requirements and Application Process
BEFORE YOUR TERM STARTS
To begin your PMC-MSA, fill out the Letter of Intent, and send it along with a copy of your term plan to the PMC-MSA coordinator. The term plan needs to be distributed & your ritual memorized BEFORE installation, but the actual letter can be received within 10 days after your Installation.
DURING YOUR TERM
Throughout your term, be sure to keep track of all activities and events so that you can easily fill out the form at the completion of your term. Details for doing this are addressed in the "PMC-MSA Complete Guidelines" below.
AT THE END OF YOUR TERM
Be sure to complete the application and submit it to the PMC-MSA coordinator at the conclusion of your term. It will be reviewed and judged to determine if you qualify for the PMC-MSA Award.
